The Family Travel Collective is a community of independent travel advisors who believe we're better when we work together. We aren't a travel agency. Each of us is an independent travel advisor affiliated with WorldVia, and each of us owns and operates her own travel business.
Within the Collective, we intentionally share knowledge, ask questions, exchange ideas, and learn from one another's experiences. It's community over competition.
That community doesn't just support the advisors. It helps us better support the travelers who choose to work with one of us.
When you work with one of our advisors, you have one dedicated person guiding your vacation, and she has a whole community of fellow travel professionals behind her.

Planning a vacation comes with a lot of decisions. Instead of spending hours trying to figure out which resort, room, ship, ticket, or package makes the most sense, you'll have a real person helping you make informed decisions based on the vacation you actually want.
Participating advisors provide support beyond simply placing a reservation. Depending on your trip, that can include answering your questions, helping with itinerary planning, and keeping an eye on eligible reservations and promotions when applicable.
The specific support included can vary by advisor and destination, and your advisor will explain what's included when you work together.
A Quick Note About Fees
A Quick Note About Fees
Travel advisors are often compensated by the travel supplier for eligible bookings. Currently, participating advisors generally don't charge a separate booking fee for complete vacation packages. Some services outside of a complete package, such as standalone services, ticket only requests, or planning help for a trip that's already booked, may involve a fee. Each advisor sets her own business policies, and she'll explain any applicable fee before that work begins.

Does it cost more to work with a travel advisor?
Travel advisors are often compensated by the travel supplier for eligible vacation bookings. Currently, participating advisors generally do not charge a separate booking fee for complete vacation packages.

Do travel advisors have secret discounts or special prices?
Many supplier promotions are publicly available, so working with an advisor isn't about access to a hidden price.
An advisor's value comes from helping you understand your options, choose the right accommodations and vacation components, navigate the planning process, and have support along the way.
What happens if a new promotion becomes available after I book?
Participating advisors may monitor eligible reservations and promotions when applicable. Supplier rules and eligibility vary, so not every promotion can be applied to every reservation.
Your advisor can explain whether a particular promotion may apply to your trip.
I already booked my vacation. Can an advisor still help?
Sometimes. Depending on the supplier, timing, and eligibility, an existing reservation may be transferable to an advisor.
If your reservation can't be transferred, some advisors may offer separate planning or concierge services. Availability and applicable fees may vary.
Can an advisor help with standalone theme park tickets?
It depends on the destination, ticket type, and advisor. Standalone ticket requests and related planning services may involve different policies or fees than complete vacation packages.

Working with an advisor gives you personalized guidance, help understanding your options, booking support, planning assistance, and someone to turn to with questions or when something changes.

When you complete one of The Family Travel Collective's vacation inquiry forms, the contact information and trip details you submit are provided so a participating independent travel advisor can follow up on your request.
You weren't contacted at random. The advisor reached out because you asked for information or help with a trip.
Who am I actually working with?
You work directly with your individual independent advisor and her independently owned travel business.
The Family Travel Collective is the collaborative community connecting and supporting participating advisors. The Collective itself is not the travel agency managing your reservation.
How is my information used?
Information submitted through a Collective vacation inquiry is used to respond to your travel request and connect you with a participating advisor.
Any marketing communications follow the consent provided through the inquiry form, including available unsubscribe options.
What if I don't hear from my advisor?
If you've submitted a vacation inquiry and have already been connected with one of our advisors, we recommend contacting your assigned advisor directly using the contact information in our Meet Our Advisors section. If your unable to reach her or aren't sure who you were connected with, email us at hello@familytravelcollective.com and we'll help point you in the right direction.
